Sold my LBO to fund another pistol and regretted it, ended up selling a few non gun related items and using a small back to school bonus from work and bought another one.
It was a non loaded package so it came with a smaller box (which I happen to like) and no holster or mag pouch (not a big deal) The fit and finish is very close to my first one, though this one has less internal machining marks. It also has the typical SA extractor sticking out the back, where my first one was almost flush with the rear of the slide. Nowhere near as smooth to rack as my Combat Operator, but after a little sanding of the guide rod, it feels better (aesthetic thing). The beavertail is nowhere near fitted as nicely as my first LBO or my CO, it is one of the worst I have seen on any of the SA pistols I have bought (aesthetic thing, but looks matter) Trigger is actually better than the Combat Operator (the CO has the tool steel parts from the factory), was surprised about that. Non ILS 2pc magwell vs the ILS on the first LBO (dated 15). Though I prefer a 1 pc, I won't be changing this one anytime soon due to finances and the 2pc on this one is quite nice. Long run, it may have been cheaper just to buy a CO in 45 acp, then send it in to have the lower AK in black (as I like checkering, tool steel parts) but I actually like the FCS on a railed 1911. Also may have just been cheaper to buy the DW Specialist, but funds right now were tight. My first LBO was just as accurate as my Wesson's just not finished as nicely. Hopefully get to the range this weekend. 20170812_224632[1] by jason dorman, on Flickr

Edit: Yes I know, SA, traitor, Debils, asshole for buying from SA. |

I imagine it will serve you well let us know how it performs.
The LBO was one of the guns i considered when shopping for a railed 1911. None of the production guns have all the features i wanted so i ended up just buying the cheapest american made railed 1911 available to test it

So I have never shot the new LBO, simply because after researching some of the other smiths prices (since SACS doesn't want to take my money) it just wasn't cost effective to have checkering etc. done to the LBO.
So it is going to be sold to fund another Combat Operator, as the CO is only missing a magwell and undercut trigger (though I prefer SACS high cut checkering vs SA standard). Almost Twinning. 20170902_230442[1] by jason dorman, on Flickr
