I bought one of these bad boys the other day and wanted to add my opinions to the mix. This is a great little gun! I've put 350+ rounds through the gun and carry it for self defense. It's been reliable with all different types of ammo including hollow points once i got through the first 150 or so rounds. I had a few FTEs and one double feed but that's all in the first 100 round box of Remington bulk. I carry Sigs's new self defense round it which has quite a bit of gusto behind it and have had zero issues shooting that as well. I ad to slightly modify mine to fit my smaller hands but I enjoy that kind of thing so it wasn't a big deal for me. Also, the trigger pull is quite long, even for a double action. The key thing to remember about this gun is its $300 price point. It's not gonna run like a sig 226 out of the box but with proper maintenance and care the gun has turned out wonderfully. Also spare parts are very reasonably priced as well. From what i understand, those old S&W mags can be modified slightly to fit as well but i can't confirm this.

I have had the stainless slide one for the past 6 months and is has been 100% reliable with everything I have fed it so far. It is also quite accurate as well. I have tried the S&W 59 series magazines in the gun, and while they are very close in shape and size, the mag catch slots on the CPX-2 are much higher than the S&W 59 series/Kel-tec p11 mags. I am sure you could put a slot in the propper place and they would work fine.
I am very happy with mine, bought it NIB for $259. I was a little skeptical at first, but after taking it apart and examining it it seems like a very well made pistol. The machining and workmanship are better than pistols that are twice the price. Mine has been great, but there are a lot of stories about the plastic mag catch and triggers and things breaking on them after a few thousand rounds. The gun does come with a lifetime warranty, and a company that has great customer service. |

For between the $150-$300 price point, the Sccy is about the only decent pistol out there. Lifetime warranty, transferrable, two mags, USA made, whats not to like? And, Sccy backs it up with this-if someone steals your firearm, and you have a police report backing it up, they will replace it for free.
