Have seen endless advertising in magazines for a See-All open sight. Green thing with a black caret /\ for a sight. Mounts to rail.
Observation: on a hand gun at arms length, the caret /\ grows so big in the green sea it is useless. The farther from your eye, the larger the apparent size grows until it takes over the entire rear of the sight. Observation: on a .22LR rifle, my and a grandkid's observation was that the top of e caret /\ never holds still and just swims all over. Half the distance from your eye, but still out of proportion. Talley custom base on a Browning SA .22LR takedown rifle. Conclusion: novel, but useless sight picture wise. Plastic lense out in open not survivable with rough handling. |
