I have owned a P226R 9mm for about a year now. During my trips to the range, after 10 rounds the pistol fails to extract and double feeds. I have tried other mags and it does the same thing. What could be causing this and what could remedy?

Thanks.

How many rounds? How long since you replaced the recoil spring?  Does the  extractor sping tension seem sluggish or gritty?

Could be a bad extractor, but its pretty much impossible to diagnose over the internet.

I work on Sigs everyday, work for an agency that has them as the duty weapon, Sig Armorer ect.

Sounds like you have an extractor problem.

#1 Check the extractor for chips, cracks or excessive wear.

#2. Pull the extractor and clean it and it's slide recess.

#3. Replace the extractor spring.

But only do these things if your a qualified Sig Pistol Armorer, otherwise you will void your warrenty.
