| Just saw this while looking for parts and I was wondering if that would be a good $10 spent? Going to be purchasing my first Sig (226 .357) from CDNN and I've heard that the Sig trigger is a little long. Any opinions on the matter or suggestions? Would replacing the trigger with this be a complicated process? Thanks |

Try the standard trigger out first. I have big hands, and with the short trigger, it pinches my finger. But will state, for $10 only, go ahead and pick it up to give it a try. Worst case is you don't like the feel, and you can just sell it off in the EE later if you don't want to hand onto the extra part. |

Double check this, but I don't believe the SigPro short trigger will fit anything but the SigPro's. The P226/229 have a different trigger and therefore needs a different short trigger. check sigforum for more info, there are instructions there for replacing the trigger. |
This is correct, you would need another trigger for a 226. I installed a short trigger in my 226 and it's fits great. There wa a bit of a sharp edge at the base of the trigger that would pinch my finger, but I took care of that with a Dremel. |

I personally have a short trigger in my P239 and have had them in P226's and P220's. sometimes, but not all the time, the short trigger in the P239 does pinch my large hands. (but the trade off is that the feel of the trigger gets lighter, although the actual weight of the pull is the same.) Thats why I've kept the short trigger in my P239. (brings the assumed weight of the first DA pull down to a lesser felt pull, but again, like I said, it doesnt change the actual weight.) |
