Hey Gang!

I had the opportunity to participate
in a Defensive Handgun Class this
past Saturday, and I used my SR9.
It functioned flawlessly for the 425
rounds or so that I shot. This has
me thinking seriously about buying
a second one. I just looked on Ruger's
website, wanting to look at pics of
the green & black models, but
they only list the SS/ Black and
Black/Black models. Have the
green & black ones been discontinued?

Thanks!

I've heard yes and no from several sources including calling Ruger directly.  People are asking me if I can order them a green SR9 like I have, and I have to tell them no for now.  Who knows, Ruger may make them again in the future.

Simms,
I will be on the look out
for a B/G, but I will take
another SS/Black if I have
to. I do prefer the later ones
with the D shaped mag release.

Would you mind posting a pic or
two of yours?

I guess I could Duracoat the
SS slides...

Thanks!

I'll have  to take a couple pictures of it, but I'd be happy to post them.  Mine is a 1.2 SR9, with the new internals and the D shaped mag release.  I've seen the OD frames with newer and older style mag releases in them.

I was just talking to my buddy who was in the
class with me, about my intent to buy another
one. I realised that my early/harder to depress
mag release didn't cause me any issues, that
I can remember. I suppose that even a small
amount of adrenalin will over come something
like that with just a little bit of stress. So I don't
think I am going to be to picky about which version
I buy. The Ghost Ultimate certainly made the
trigger pull very manageable, and it's easy to
install & affordable.

Another thing that I over came with this class,
was that I didn't use the thumb safety, at all.
It like the idea that it's there, but it does sit a little
far back for clean swipe at it, without having to
adjust your grip.

I am really getting back into this pistol.

Thanks gang!

John
