I've had the opportunity to check out an STI single stack and was quite impressed with how tight and smooth the action was.....my question is , how does Ed Brown handguns compare to them? I'm considering an STI Ranger or EB Bobtail. Thanks for any & all input.

The STI is a very good choice I have been selling and shooting them for several years.
They have been very reliable and affordable.

STI are a good value............Ed Brown guns are very well respected............Brown,Wilson,Les Baer are like the holy trinity in the 1911 world. Try posting this in the 1911 forum for more response's

Thanks for the responses, what I'm really looking for is how the Ed brown fit & finish stacks up to the STI. Is it worth the extra $. Thanks again.

I own both. The STI is nice but not even close to the fit , finish and overall craftsmanship of the Ed Brown.
