I have recently purchased a SW 646 4" .40SW. This is going to be a limited run weapon. As a result finding moon clips that are reasonable in price and leather is becoming a problem. I intend on using the weapon for IDPA competition, the revolver is an L frame, however due to the hammer, the standard  L Frame holsters with a thumb breaks don't fit. As a competition shooter, I would prefer a holster without a thumb break. Also $30.00 for 10 moon clips is ridiculous. Anyone have any lead or suggestions on holsters and moon clips?  Thanks TK

First off, go with a Fobus holster & you don't have to sweat a hammer thumbreak or whatever.

As for moon clips, exactly how many .40 revolvers do you think are out there? Not many, I assure you. Bite the bullet & pay what you need or load 'em up single rd at a time.

Thanks for the feedback, however I have a hard time wearing my Mickey Mouse ears with my Pelators when I think of Fobus Holsters. Cheers
