I just got one the other day and would recomend it for anyone.
I was very impressed with accuracy and function, as well as the ergonomics of the pistol.
I also like the ease of carry, for a full size it conceals well and is lite enough that you hardly notice it.

The grip frame is almost 1911 feeling.

I handled one last week, it did indeed feel good. If you don't mind me asking, what was yours priced at? The one I played with was a dealer sample only.

He was retailing them at $509.00

That's a damn good price, IMO. These may be my next .45acp.

I havnt seen anything about them making the 99 in 45acp is walther also going to put one out ? Is the frame larger then a 9mm p99 , and how many rounds do they hold is it a single stack magazine or double ?

Yes they are makeing a 99 in 45, it just is not readily available yet.
They say thry are not sure about a Walther only 45 because it is not a normal cartridge for Euro use.
Smith may be coming out with a compact version just don't know when for sure.
It's kind of an offset single stack, if that makes sense. The pistol holds 9 and 1 and has no mag disconect.  (It will fire without a mag)
As for size it is a little larger but not much.

As tbone said, 9+1 capacity.

Yes, they will come out with a compact .45acp model but it's at least two years away, IMO. I'm itching to get a full size at a range where I can see how it stacks up against my USP .45 compact.

Bob, I think you will be suprised how well the Smith shoots when you compare it to your compact.
I think as well as the H&K Tactical, I had.
