I receved my first ALS holster today and he first thing I noticed was the size of the release lever and texture, or lack thereof.  Has anyone performed any modifications to these holsters to create a little more contact area or has it been a non-issue?

I think for most it is a non-issue, but I have seen one guy who stippled the top of the lever and says it helped for him. No one I have seen has modded it to make it larger.

It's been a non issue for me.  I really like the ALS.

It would seem to me that making the release button larger on a retention holster would be a really bad idea.

Only modification I've made to my 6377 is the addition of an ALS guard

I used a disk on my Dremel to make a few horizontal cuts across the top. It helps get a bit more purchase on the button with or without gloves.
