Fresh refurb/Cerakote of one of my favorite pistols. Hi Caliber Manufacturing in Ashland, VA did a great job on this pistol. My camera doesn't capture the Magpul FDE color very well but it looks great in person. Attached File

Faxon Fire Arms precut slide. Rival Arms barrel. Wanted a matching Faxon barrel, but I couldn’t find any. Apex trigger up next maybe. Attached File |

Mine is not interesting at all. Bone stock FDE 2.0, 5 inch. Shoots high and left but I print better groups with it than any other centerfire semi auto pistol I’ve tried yet

Here's one with a story.
Early last year I got a letter from a Northern CA sheriff's office asking if I was the owner of a pistol listed on the letter. I wasn't missing any guns but called them anyway. Evidence Tech I talked to said it was an M&P 45 recovered at an illegal marijuana grow. Well, I've had a couple over the years but both had been long sold. Case was adjudicated. Said I was listed as the last owner and if I wanted it I could have it. Hell ya! I jumped through the hoops required by CA DOJ and finally got a letter authorizing the SO to release the gun to me. Did a day long road trip to CA and picked it up. In between the 10 years or so of me selling it and getting it back someone had done a decent texture job on the grip and some trigger work. Looks like it has an Apex sear and striker block. The trigger breaks clean at 4 lbs. Anyway, here it is. It shoots great. Think I'll keep it this time. Attached File |

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I’ve spent the past few days in the woods for CA muzzleloader season. I’ve been carrying this M&P40 daily.
Pretty much the only time this pistol sees carry duty is during hunting season. Attached File |

Downright certain. So when you clean it, do you take the optic and sights off the slide or do you take the rail mount off to remove the slide? And do you re-zero every time you reassemble it? |

What's special about the new trigger? To me it just looks like they didn't mold it completely and just said "fuck it, it'll work".

Shield Plus PC, I purposely bought the non OR model and had it cut. I didn't want to pay an extra 200 for the CT dot that I wouldn't use. Namelessarms did the cut and cerakote, had it back to me in less than 2 weeks. They mounted, torqued and witness marked the dot screws as well.

Set of Apex springs and sear eliminated all that. Put on a set of Ameriglo sights while I was at it. |
