I am looking for a M-10, I have seen them at the gun shows as surplus or police turn-ins.  Is there a distributor that is selling these.  I saw one that Swingset bought for $125 and it was sweet looking and a great shooter too.  I want one now.

......and if I ran into one for anything less than $200, I'd be all over it.

Our next door neighbor has one and had me take it to the range to "make sure it still worked" as she put it. As you can see by the pic there is no problem with it "working".
My only problem is that she will not sell it.

Even though my was a Md.13 I never used 357's in it.
Had to have a 3" 66 in an attack of the dumbshits and traded it and cash...Doh.
Shoulda bought it out right and kept the 13.

Unless I completely missed something all I saw were "parts kits".

I received a flyer in with my last order last Friday marked "Referral Code:  Flyer".  No date I can see.  Page 9, bottom right hand side does show a S&W Model 10 Parts Set for $99.95; however below that is S&W Model 10, .38 Special revolver, 4" heavy barrel, chrome finsih, good to very good........25-1738  $189.95.

That was the basis of my post.  Hope this helps out.  JD

Heheh....got to you, didn't it!?

Know what? I'm looking too because the one I got I reblued and re-gripped and gave to my mom for Christmas for a HD piece.

If I find another good one, or two, I'll let ya know.

If you can find a S&W Mod 10 in 3" HB that would be the ticket. Sold mine too many years ago and still regret it.

Model 10's are a great firearm.

If you like the model 10, you should look at the Model 64 (.38 Special) & 65 (.375 Magnum).  They are stainless and will handle almost anything you throw at them.

Here's my model 64 I carried on duty for 7 years working on the Gulf Beaches of Tampa Bay, Florida.  4" heavy barrel.

My old model 64 is now my wife's house gun.

P.S.  I know, my toes are in the photo.

A K-frame S&W in 38 Spl are just great guns, no matter what variation you get.
I'm partial to the 5" Model 10, and the 4" Model 15 and 19 Combat Masterpiece.
I've put many a wadcutter down range with all three types.
I once got my father in law a Colt Series 70 for Christmas. He couldn't really handle it all that well so he gave it back to me. I promptly gave him a used Model 15 that he dearly loves.
Everyone should have a good S&W revolver!

S&W M&P, which is the model 10 before they called it that. K-frame 38 special snubby barrel (1 inch? 1 1/2 inch?). Made in 1944, in excellent/very good condition. Looks like it was barely used and never carried. All original. First handgun I ever bought.

Really worth considering this advice.

Love those Model 65's

I have a Model 10 heavy barrel in a round and square frame, both with carry wear from years as a duty gun on the tip of the barrel and on the cylinder in spots.  Both will shoot groups under 1" and I'd sell either for $200.  I got a Model 15 recently that fills the bill for my 38 wheel gun.

One is round, one is square.  I'm glad I could clear that up for you!

What do they run these days?  Saw a 4" 19 for $400, which I thought was a bit much, considering I got my 6" for $250 one year ago.

Let me rephrase the question.  Are all of the round butt configurations available in square butt?

$250 is about right for one in really good shape. A Model 66 RB, 2.5" barrel, target hammer and trigger, excellent shape, will fetch over $300.

Bump...I'd like a couple of Model 10s that have been carried a bunch and shot a little.

I oughta kick my own ass!  I bought a Model 10, brand new for UNDER $200 out the door from the Bargain Barn in Jasper GA....back about 8 or 10 years ago.  Shoulda bought a stack of them.

I have a Model 13 4" that I bought 20 years ago.  It was ordered for someone who never picked it up.  I paid $185 for it and still have it to this day.  I also have a model 64 1.88" and a model 66 4".  I want the model 64 in 3", so I am considering sending it to S&W to have it done.

I love the K Frames.

The one true revolver, apostolic and universal.  Amen.

Own three, a four inch heavy barrel, a five inch nickel (stamped Detroit Police) and a two inch round butt.  Will own more in due time.

Not as common or cheap as they once were.  Most of the police trade ins seem to be coming from overseas these days.  And most are beat to a pulp.  Good clean used ones can still be found, going rate in these parts around 250.  But you have to do a lot of looking.
