I'm looking to do some horse trading, getting rid of some guns I don't shoot as much as other to get stuff I want. I've tried and tried to love the AK platform, it just won't let me. I'm an AR made through and through

So the AK got put on the chop block and I've got a guy offering me a DPS marked Model 28 with some accessories. Revolver definitely has that look of having some miles on it but supposedly all checks out

Problem is I have no working knowledge of value. I'm watching the March check out of revolvers multiple times before I do the deal though

It's not a model 29.  If the cylinder is not loose, maybe $400.

What kind of AK is it? If it's a WASR, it's an okay deal. Around my area 28s in much nicer condition sell around 500-600. WASRs in brand new condition are around 400-450, used they tend to go for 300-350.

In my area that 28 would probably sit for quite some time at anything over $500. It would sell eventually though. In that condition, I wouldn't offer much over $400 OTD.

It was a WASR 10/63 with a polish side folding stock on it,Bulgarian swelled handguards, 6 magazines, Chinese chest vest, and around 90 rounds of ammunition.

The revolver was actually in alot better shape than the pictures showed. I'll try to post some later on today.

In my area, hardly ever see them for under $600. Figured I'd be safe at allowing $500 trade wise.

Then the guy gave me $125 to cover the difference in our weapons

Around here that revolver in nice shape brings $500-600. I agree with the others; I wouldn't give more than $400 for it and only then if I was looking for a beater woods gun.

Thanks, definitely wanted to get the revolver more so than keep the AK. Have tried the platform many times and always go back to my ARs. Plus, I know alot of people that collect S&Ws so if I decide to sell later down the road won't be a big issue

For now, going to get some 38 & 357

With that wear, I wouldn't go more than $400.

Ended up selling it for $500 to a guy who just had to have it. Wasn't planning on selling it, just kind of happened that way. And the fact I had a lead that disappeared claiming to have a bringback Arisaka with paperwork I wanted the cash available might have played a factor

Thankfully my uncle has a Model 19 that I can enjoy when the need hits me until I can find something else.

Everybody should own a 4inch Model 19, or two, or three.

I own several S&Ws and one of them is a model 28-2 4" that shoots excellently with all ammos I shoot. A real work horse of their line. No checkering of frills just all gun.
I'm positive you wouldn't be unhappy with this pistol!
