Could You Have Stopped This? Vegas Shooting Analysis with Attorneys on Retainer

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - S&W model 411 help

I just recently purchased a S&W model 411, Shoots like a dream, But I cannot figure out how to break the gun down, It has a slide catch pin like a 1911 .45 i pull the slide back and hold it and try to press the pin out and it doesnt budge, I know this has to be the way to remove the slide, If anyone can help please do so, I am on the verge of getting my trusty hammer and removing the pin in a hostile fashion.

Select "Metal Frame Centerfire Pistols" and open or download the manual. It will show and tell you what to do.

Please forgive me for asking this, but *I* also forget to do it once in a while.

But you are removing the mag before trying to take the slide off, correct?

Yes sir I am removing the mag, I feel like i need a degree in rocket science to get this slide off, the only thing i am concerned with if it has been shot numerous times and never cleaned and it maybe gummed up with residue

I checked the link, and i done what it says in the manual, but it is just not budging one bit!
