Has anyone seen, fondled or shot one of the Savage made 1911 pistols? They've been on the market for a bit but I haven't heard much about them either good or bad. |

Savage making a 1911 is kinda funny seeing as the 1911 beat out the Savage pistol during that military trial. Ok funny part aside, you do get quite a bit a features with a Savage 1911. Novak sights, rail if you so choose that model, black nitride if you get that version. They look nice for a modernized looking 1911, forged frame and slide which is a must in my book, and tool steel sear and disconnector. |

I like the Sig’s if I had to have a modern looking 1911. Sig should have made the trigger guard look like a P-226 instead of a 1911 when they introduced their 1911. They could have made the hammer solid and round it like a P-226. Why not? The slide looked like a P-226. |
