I came across a 28rnd .45 Scherer magazine, and I'm thinking about grabbing it. Dependable mags?

Stay away from anything that is not factory. Those stick mags are hit and miss and usally is more miss.

I would have to agree with Aim4MyHead. I would stick with stock mags and springs.

I bought some Scherer 10mm mags.  They were crap, a complete waste of my money.

I have the .40 mag and it runs fine (no slide lock on empty though), but my .45 doesn't seem to run so well...
