picked up another Sig 1911 recently.  only about a 100rds downrange.  she runs perfect so far and is scary accurate.  no stranger to the 1911 and this is one well put together blaster.  here are some pics.  ignore the blades, these were originally knife shots for my website.  i wish Sig would make a 10mm and i would a happy man.

yeah, i need to break out some of my kydex and make a nice paddle holster for this one.  i know i have scraps of coyote brown left from my knife sheath work.  that would look right at home.

I couldn't make up my mind on color so just went with black.  All my other gear, mag pouches, belt, etc.  are all black so it fits right in.

ive been fondling the carry verision for a while, I got the gf convinced to start shooting and he condition was she wanted my sig 2022 because it was small and cute... so I have since decided I will buy a scorpion because she thinks its ugly and to heavy.

anyone notice difference in full size to cmdr size accuracy and ftf's and fte's ? been hearing this a lot.

I prefer the commander size carry version but that's just me.  I did have some FTF,FTE's when using Wilson Mags (can you believe that !). The Sig Mags work with no malfunctions so I bought three more to go with it, all work great.

I plan to put a tlr1 hl on this and roll cmdr size and use as my carry pistol. biggest thing is the holster but I know a couple guys whom do kydex anyone notice any problems with cerakote? I know the gen 1's had issue with holster wear and high humidity causing the cerakote to flake and boil? anyone have this?

Sweet gun, I'm gonna pick one up sometime soon. I decided to go eih the carry, simlpy because I don't have a commander sized 1911 with a rail. But I can't find one anywhere, 5" is everywhere I look but no carries.

Glad to hear you're happy with the Scorpion. I bought one too and am just anxiously awaiting shipping from BudsGuns. It will be my first 1911 so I'm pretty excited. Will probably only use the Glock for work from now on. lol

All 1911 Sigs are metal. There are no plastic pieces, or MIM junk.

You may want to look closer, I think there are some mim parts in there. I sold mine a while back but Im almost positive it had a few mim parts.
