I just bought a used Glock 30.  While I was at the gun show looking at it I checked to see if the serial numbers were the same on the frame, slide, and barrel.  They were the same but I noticed that the serial number was in reverse order than all of my other Glocks.  This one starts with five numbers and then three letters.  301xxRSR.  It also does not have the US designation.  Does anyone know why this is backwards from all the others I have ever seen.  Even my first gen 17 starts with letters then numbers.
Anyways I picked it up for a good price.  It is is great shape with night sights and I gave $350 out the door. I would really appreciate it  if anyone has any information on this.

By the way I looked at the serial number thread over on Glocktalk and came up empty.
All the numbers on the thread started with letters and then numbers while mine are  reverse.

I called Glock and got an answer.  It was made March 20, 1997.  The reason the serial number is funny is because it was part of a special order for a company called RFI Wholesale Guns, they have a small chain of five stores across the U.S.
