Anyone know if you can disable the series 80 firing pin safety?

Just remove firing pin plunger and spring from the slide assembley.

Remove the slide series 80 parts and replace the frame parts with the Brownells parts that fill in the void left by removing the frame parts.

I'd thought about it, but wasn't sure if there might be some legal potholes one might encounter if you'd use it later in a
self-defense shooting?

Any ideas?
