[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Setback in .45 ACP

Had a round of Hornady American Gunner 185 gr XTP look a little short. My guess is that it was chambered at least once or maybe dropped on the firing line. The round has an OAL of 1.216. Per the load data OAL minimum should be 1.23 for the load. Is that much setback a problem in .45?

Some brand and bullets are worse than others. Set back will happen to almost any hand gun bullet that's repeatedly loaded from the mag. IMHO 357 Sig are the worst.

You will be fine. That is not a lot of setback
