Anyone here lengthen the pockets on their pants for better pocket carry?
I've got a couple of pair that just aren't quite long enough. Did you sew in a completely new pocket? Or did you add material to the existing pocket? I could buy new pants, but for work clothes, meh.. I like to get my money's worth out of the old stuff first. |
| OK this is coming from an old guy, who has been packing since the early 60's: All my pockets in carry pants have been cut out and replaced with a lite canvas material , they are made a little larger in width and a little longer depending on the cut of the pant, if you have a great seamstress take your pocket holster along so they can cut to fit. |

I have had the Vietnamese seamstress dry cleaner lady do all kinds of stuff to pants such as.
add a slot a light will fit in to a couple pairs of jeans add a slot in a pocket to keep a magazine in place. cut out and add a new pocket made of denim with velcro sewn in for a pocket holster. a buddy had a couple pairs of pants cut up to the knee at the seam and had velcro added for ankle carry. Pretty neat grab pant leg rip up and the whole leg sheds like a wing up to the knee |

I've had new pockets sewn into my dress pants and casual shorts with thicker material for longer wear.
My suit coats and sport coats have reinforced material in the areas where I carry IWB. I got tired of the fraying and damage done by the abrasiveness of daily concealed carry. |
