My 9 Shield is on its second front site. The first one had the white dot come off and hit me in the head durning recoil within the first 50 rounds. The gun had to go to S&W anyway, so they put a new sight on. The second white dot has come off within the next 500 rounds. So, I am looking for a different sight option. I am not looking for night sights as I carry a flash light and my Shield has the CT laser. What would you all recommend?

Thanks

Sean

How wide of a rear notch did you get? I looked at there sight but was confused by all the options! Never changed sights on a gun before, just used factory.

I got the standard .140. Wider is faster, smaller is more precise.

Thanks. I'll do some more reading and see what front site option I want to match the laser. Also, need to watch some videos and see if it is a job I can handle.

I have these on mine and agree wholeheartedly.  Very fast to pick up in daylight.

I went with 10-8 front brass bead. Unfortunately they were out of the rear site right now. I've got a Fiber on my M&P 9JG and I shoot low with it. Apparently I do not know how to use fibers well. Going to do the Apex Trigger at the same time.

Grab the Shield carry kit, it has the replacement sear, sear spring, trigger spring and USB. Later, when you swap out the rear sights, you can drop the USB in (or now whichever you prefer). The really like the Apex kit in my Shield. The stock trigger is okay, but the Apex makes it a real pleasure to shoot.

Thanks for the heads up! Could have saved some shipping had I known, but at least I'll save gun smithing.
