I shot my new Shield today and on the 4th shot the slide locked back while there were still rounds in the magazine. It was NOT easy to get the slide unstuck. It was not the slide stop holding it back either. It eventually came free and I shot more. In the third mag it did it again...then I put at least 70 more rounds through it without an issue. Not sure I can trust this thing just yet, but I will continue shooting it to see what happens.
On a side note the brand new Ruger sr22 I got for my fiance was 100% reliable. I shot 300 rounds through it without a single issue. Pretty impressive for a 22 pistol. |

Maybe a slight burr on the frame rails or slide? That is definitely a possibility. When I first got it out of the box you could barely make the slide release move at all. Now it will move pretty easily up and down. I'm going to assume that could have been part of the issue also. |
