They seem to be a good value, roughly $900. For that, you get all tool steel parts, front strap checking, Novak night sights. I had an early, Pre-Revolution, built on a Caspian frame. Nice trigger and great reliability. Although, I had to send it back to Sig before firing the first round for a series of cosmetic issues. The downside seems to be that it uses a non-standard extractor, so you can't use the large variety of parts manu's, i.e. Brown, Wilson, etc. I also believe I heard mention that the GSR will not fit in a regular 1911 holster because the slide shape more resembles a P220 (wider and flatter) , than a 1911. Hope this helps. |
