Some months back when I had the inclination to purchase a Sig, I came upon a topic concerning ejection or construction or something like that that is a problem with Sig 1911.

Would that problem still exist? If not, what did Sig do to remedy the problem?

What is the warranty for a Sig 1911?

Thanks.

I can only answer on the warranty part. It's lifetime if you buy the gun new. You have to buy a warranty from them and send the gun in for an inspection if you buy it used. Does not transfer.

I had an ejection problem with an ultra carry. The casing being ejected would get hung up on the brass rim of the round that was to be loaded. Empty brass would not fully extract because of this. Bought the gun used. Traded it for a TacOps and have had zero issues since.

I bought a used Scorpion carry 1911 a while back. It would eject cases back in my face.  Sent it in to Sig to be fixed.  They never even asked if I was the original owner.  Their service was good, however I never really trusted that gun. The ejection improved after it was sent in,but it would still fling brass back at me occassionally.

I am inquiring more on the newer or latest versions if they have finally fixed this problem.  Like a new Sig Target 1911.
