Has anyone fired or do you have one of the new Sig Elites? I am looking to get the 229.

I have one of the P226 Elite 9mm's. It's a very slick gun, and if your used to the stock SIG trigger reset, you will be absolutely amazed at what they've done to this gun. I traded my P229 Equinox on this gun and could not be more pleased.

I have both the 226 40 and the 229 40. Absolutley love them both, went ahead on the 229 and got the AEP package since it is my primary carry gun and what a difference. The trigger was jsut as smooth, but lighter. About 2 lbs on the DA and 1lb on the SA.

Thanks guys after I posted my question I found several other post on the same subject they all had good things to say. I carry the standard 229 on duty and just wanted to get one for personal carry.

I'm kicking myself here... a few weeks ago Gander Mtn. had a NIB/never fired P229 Elite in .40 for $649.99 and I passed it up. That night while trying to get to sleep I decided to go back and grab it. I went in the next day bright and early and it was gone.

I'm normally an impulse buyer and quick on snapping up deals, yet I can't figure out where my impulses went that day.

Dude that sucks! I am just the opp. I am a total impulse buyer, retail stores love me I go in for one thing and leave with twenty.
