| i bought a used Sig GSR, were there problems with those, i won't get a chance to shoot it for a week or two. |

GSR Revolution, or GSR? (It'd say Revolution on the slide, or not) The original run of GSR's had some teething issues...some people haven't had problems, while others have had to send it on multiple trips back to SIG before they sold them. Sig updated and fixed their line, and re-released them as the GSR Revolution. The newer GSR Revolutions are by all accounts great guns for the money. |

If it jams with the round almost in the chamber, and a slight push on the slide pushes it into battery, it probably will need a new extractor and spring. Mine did. If you send it in, don't send mags. You will probably get a free one back from Sig. The chamber is much tighter than necessary. I had to change to LEE Factory Size dies to allow my reloads to cycle. The gun is extremely tight in every way. CLP or light oil will be OK, but if you use any sort of red grease or silicon grease like I do on most pistolas, the GSR will not cycle. |
| I carry a Sig GSR Revolution as my duty weapon now. I had my doubts when I first got it though. I had FTF problems with it and had the rear site fall off at the department range. The sight must have been loose when it was shipped out, I just put it back and tightened it down. For the FTF I had to send it back to Sig. They polished the feed ramp ad reemed the chamber and now it runs 100%. |
| Roommate has an original GSR that has been back to Sig twice with the previous owner. It runs like a champ and is very accurate. I sent my GSR Revolution back with the series 80 tore itself apart, but it works very well. I had a couple of Fail to Feeds last range trip as described above, slight wack on the ass end of the slide got it back together just fine. I had a smith add a S&A Magwell and grind the speedbump off the grip safety, and I love how stupidly accurate the gun is. Good luck with an original run GSR, they are either diamonds or dogs. |

I just fired a TTT Revolution for the first time yesterday and prior to shooting I went to change the grips and had an allen screw round off. I think they can afford better hardware. I also had a few failure to feeds with Federal ball. I'll give it a good cleaning and a second chance, but so far not too impressed for the $$$. It was pretty accurate though.

Yeah, mine was accurate too. Never really worked right, but real accurate. I don't miss it. I do miss the $$ I wasted though |

Cleaned and removed the stripped screw and replaced the grips and hardware this week on my GSR TTT. On the second outing it performed much better. The failure to go into battery seemed to be only on rounds 7&8 this time and it went away after about 6-8 mags. I think after another 300-500 rounds it could be a good pistol, but for the money its a disappointment. For $400-$500 I don't mind breaking in a pistol and dealing with cheap hardware, but for $1k+ they should work out of the box. I started with an STI Lawman about the same time and its been flawless out of the box. The S&W 1911PD is next to try... |
