Any thoughts on this one? Haven't see one in the stores, but before ordering would like to hear if someone has handled or fired one of these.... DAO only sort of concerns me, but a good looking CCW weapon from the pictures I've seen. www.sigarms.com/products/mauser.asp |

Own one, shoot one, like it alot. It does have design and handling differences though that are a little unique. One the safety at the rear of the grip. Good thing is that you can turn it off and carry it Glock style. The trigger is a striker system but the plus is that it is not plastic feeling such as a glock. The weight of the M2 is in it's slide and it very controlable for any size firearm including a midsize / compact. Another thing in it's favor is that the block in the lower that controls the extraction and rotation of the barrel is the only thing in the lower that takes abuse. Over time you can change it out with a new barrel and have basically a new handgun. Accuracy with the M2 45 is good. Best I have done off hand is 16 rounds in 5" at 25 yards. You can also buy mags at Keisler (sp) for $20. Holsters can also be bought at Brigade Leather in many models for it. Hope this helps. |

Just got mine in. M2 45acp and after 200 rds its flawless. For DAO its got a consistent trigger pull and could be pretty accurate with some practice. Its actually easer to adapt to than a SA/DA combo because every pull is the same. I guess the only (small) thing I can knock it for is the mag design. It has a notch cut in the top feed lip for the mag catch that will rip your thumb when reloading if you slip. Bought a mag loader and problem solved. |
