I recently bought one of these for my wife and took it to the range today. I had nothing but problems with it. I started out using CCI minimag which jammed or failed to fire about 3 to 4 out of every 10

rounds. Next I tried federal wally world ammo but had the same results. Tried changing the spring....still didn't help. Went back to minimag...nothing. Overall I shot about 300 rounds through it and it only

seemed to get worse. I talked to the range office who told me of the 50 or so of them he's seen he said they have all be a piece of sh**. Is there anything I can do or is this common with this pistol? I had

really high hopes for this pistol and my wife loves it but needless to say we ended the day pretty frustrated . Any advice would be greatly appreciated....Thanks!

I feel your pain. I ran CCI minimags thru mine and out of about 100 rds, maybe 10 or 15 FTF. PMC turned it into a single shot. I ran a couple hundred rounds of Rem high velocity and subsonics thru it with no problems at all.

run it wet, and use the lighter tension spring if your using cci minimag or federal.  they made the tolerances on these guns a lot tighter than before and they need about 500-600 rounds of break-in before you can have full reliability.  also i have had good experiences with the federal when i lightly oil the round.  all i do is dip my finger in oil (breakfree clp) and then load the mag as normal.  when i go to grab the round my oily finger touched the bullet, and i ran through an entire 550 round case of federal bulk with ZERO malfunctions of any kind, but i did lightly oil each round like stated previously.  also you want to oil the slide rails on the frame and the slide itself.  you will begin to see where the blueing begins to wear off from use, and thats where you need to put the oil exactly.

I feel your pain, I went to the range today and mine worked about 40% of the time at best and I'd just cleaned and lubed the thing. Mine mostly has FTEs. It's going to get sold at the next gun show otherwise I might smash with it with a hammer next time I try and use it. I expected more from SIG.

I have a Gemtech Outback II and it doesn't help my gun at all. It's getting sold for sure. It's not worth my time to try and fuck with it. I've got too many guns that I can just pick up and shoot without my blood pressure escalating.

After reading here and other places I decided that the hassle this gun brings is just not worth it to me. Everything else I own is highly reliable and the mosquito has by far been the biggest piece of junk I've

ever owned. I can't believe SIg would put their name on something like that. Today I did what I should have done in the first place, I sold the piece of sh** and bought a Ruger Mark III.

I had one too. I got it for my girl friend she she could get comfortable with the handgun.
I ended up trading it on a glock 26. turns out 9mm was no problem for her.
