Sig P226 slide doesn't lock back after last shot. Shooting Federal, WWB, PRVI, 115 grain brass.
It will lock back just fine if I slide it back myself with an empty mag, or manually use the mag catch w/o a mag. Just doesn't lock back after firing a round on an empty magazine. Thoughts? |

Don't know how old mags are, I have not kept them loaded personally, but it has been proven by many engineers that mags can stay loaded to their listed capacity with very minimal to zero wear on the spring, that's what they are designed to do.
I wouldn't think all 4 mags would be a problem though. |

If designed properly it shouldn't hurt to store them loaded, but I have personaly witnessed magazines that developed issues after being stored loaded. If that happens its time for a new spring. If the magazines are 20 yrs old like the pistol its probably time for a new set of springs. ETA: why do you have 10rd mags?

I have kept my 226 loaded and chambered 12+1 for 5 years now on my night stand, I shoot it frequently...again rock solid. I love my SIG, however this does not help you in any way. Sorry, keep us posted, Im curious |
