| I have a Sig p232 blued 380 cal pistol. I recently acquired 2 Sig stainless steel P232 7 rd mags, brand new. These mags will not even insert into my pistol. They have the zigzag seam along the back. All my other factory mags are blued and work fine. Is there something wrong with the mags or do they only work in a SS P232? |

iirc the blued mags that came with my p232 had the zigzag seam on the back. but i sold that pistol a few months back and don't have them to look at sorry. now when you say they don't go in do you mean they don't go in all the way or won't even enter the butt of the pistol at all? if they don't go in all the way try loosening up your grip screws a little. i found that after i replaced the grips i couldn't get a mag in cause the screws were impeding the mag. you may also have to hold the mag release back. if they are just the wrong size well then i don't know what to tell you. |
| I tried changing the Hogue grips to the OEM plastic grips and I even tried inserting the mags into the P232 without the grips on. The mags only go into the mag well about an inch without encountering major resistance. There is no interference from the grip screws. If you insert the mag all the way in, you will need a pair of pliers to pull the mag out. The mag release is working perfectly. I have no problems at all with my blued factory mags These SS mags were made in Germany, they just seem out of spec. |
