| Can some one tell me about this Model: 238-380SAS . I can't find any info on it. What it the SAS? |
|
I got my two tone for $500...back when it was 'worth' it because it was so new. I WILL NEVER BUY A SIG RIGHT AT RELEASE AGAIN.
Now, I'm looking for a replacement recoil spring...my Double Taps have crushed my factory spring already. Nothing listed on the Sig site or any of their suggested suppliers. Where should I look? |

Would a Replacement spring from a Colt Mustang work? if so Wolff would be a good place to start. I know next to nothing about Colt mustangs so forgive me if this doesnt work. |

You can pick up the SAS for $580 if you know where to look. Please PM or email me also. I'll be out of Dodge and back in the States next week Could you email the SAS contact info? Thanks in advance! |

I just bought one for my wife. We have had it for 4 days, but have not shot it. WE got the SAS model. I paid about $20 more than some of you know where to buy them. It is a beautiful gun and hope it works as good as it looks.
My wife has a Colt Mustang mkIV series 80, that we are going to get rid of. We have only put about 70 rds thru it, but I think this gun is easier for her to work the slide on than the mustang, although the Mustang cycles easier than most .380s of its day. |

I'm out of town but I will email you when I have a little more time Quoted:

Went to a gun show today and picked up a P238...Loved it! I gotta have one for carry. The booth that had one of these wanted $625 for the two-tone model. Kinda expensive, don't you think? If anybody knows a better place to look, let me know. http://www.charliesarmory.com/ I got my two-tone with siglite for $500.00 They had 10two-tone and 1 black. Not sure how much shipping and FFL would be but should be less then $625.00. Good luck. |

Short P238 review: The pistol shoots great(tight groups) 125rounds so far. One thing that kept happening the slide was not locking back after the last shot. Easy fix just took the mag apart and bent it up the follower just a bit more to push the slide lock up; 50rounds after the fix works flawless. Carrying daily is very easy, I sometimes forget it's there. 5'8" 150# sometimes hard to hide a weapon on me in shorts and a shirt in Florida sunshine. With an IWB(Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 10) holster it doesn't even mark. |

Charlie said I could call in and reserve one (which I will be doing). Thanks for the referral! |

Just get a Wolff recoil spring for the Colt Mustang/Pony 380 ACP. I chose to go with the 12 lb one, Manuf # 42812. They are out of stock at Midway, but should be in soon: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productnumber=433422 The 11 lb spring is in stock: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=212734 |
| Thanks for the post about the recoil springs....I called Wolff and they said they "havent had there hands on a 238 yet". I know for sure the Colt mustang mags work flawless over 200rnds. I'm placing an order for some Grips from Larry Davidson......I prefer his over VZ...your opinion may vary, Great thread for a great gun!! I'll never go back to an LCP. |

i just bought this the other day. out the door for 600 with a free pocket holster.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63/psiloshroom/1-1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63/psiloshroom/2-1.jpg i probably should have shined it up for the pics. i've been playing around with it ever since i took it home. i'll be shooting it tomorrow. unfortunately I couldn't find any hornady critical defense rounds for it so i'll be shooting 90 grain pmc fmj's in the meantime. |
