OK, I accidentally chipped some of the paint off of my Beretta 92fs front sight. Is there anything inexpensive I can do to fix this?

I use Testor's model paint to touch up sights when chipped or scratched or just to add some contrast by using a red or orange against black or silver sights. Hope this helps.

depends on your technique.

I do a "base coat" of white, then a "color coat" of red (or orange or whatever), then a "clear coat" of whatever clear stuff is handy from the Mrs. nail polish dept.  Holds up really well, and I think having the white under the color makes it a little brighter?

the testors (i used krylon) works pretty well

i have also tried the glow paint from SPG--it was a tad thick and over time, it chipped off

My wife's orange nail polish. She had some orange with a little bit of glitteriness to it. Worked well at the indoor range. I just tried it on a whim and it worked. May have to redo it now and then.

From years of experience, the most durable and easy to use are model airplane paint, Rust-oleum paint,  Plasti-Coat paint, and appliance touch-up enamel.

The Rust-oleum is very durable, but you wind up wasting most of it since it only comes in 8 oz cans.
It takes at least overnight to harden up, and even longer in deep dot sights, but it's VERY durable.

The Plasti-Coat is sold by Wal-mart in the paint department in small 2 oz glass jars.  It comes in a good range of very bright colors and drys hard.

Appliance touch-up enamel only comes in white and beige, but it's extremely hard and tough.

For white sights, I use Gloss White, which shows better.
