I am looking to change out some Glock sights. Any recommendations on a sight pusher that will work on my Kahr PM9 as well? Thanks.

I've had this one for years, and have never run across a gun that it wouldn't move the sights for.  That includes any sight that is dovetailed, rifle, handgun, whatever.

It's a bit expensive for a one time use, but if you anticipate moving or replacing sights for a long time this one will do it.

There is a factory tool, a rear sight pusher, made especially for Glocks.  I believe brownells, or Midway, has them.

Might work for a Kahr too.

Or, just your vise, and a hammer and delrin/brass punch will do.

ETA:  that tool posted by 50-140 while I was posting is great as well.  Had forgotten about that one.

I use this one as well.

Thanks very much, looks like a winner. My Kahr sights will not budge with a brass punch, that or my Sight Push Fu is weak.

I've changed out sights on HKP7s, Glocks, Sigs, and Kahrs.

Get a good vise mounted to your bench, some neoprene/leather to wrap your slides, duck tape a flat wide steel punch, a ball peen hammer, and spray that dovetail down with PB Blaster pentrating oil and let is work on it for 15 minutes.  $45 for all of that and you can do dozens of sight swaps.

One or two solid wacks, and you have it out.  Brass is best because it is soft but if the brass won't move it, steel will.

KEY - Do not slip with your blows and hit it straight and with authority.  Yelling "Who is your daddy now!" helps too.

Spending $129 for that B&J Machine Universal Sight Pusher or whatever is a waste of time. Seen my other gunsmith friends do the same.  If they slip at all, any nicks can be finished with:

or Alumna Blue if the sights are aluminum.

If you are a gunsmith, a sight pusher is worth it.  Can see a dozen guns that need night sights - maybe.  But for a guy changing out one or two sights a year, don't see the value.  Could buy three bricks of .22lr ammo for that $$$$.

I use to "whack" mine but now I carry the slide to someone that has the tool needed to do the job.  Usually free service and I don't need to stock tools or look at sights that are banged up from using a punch and hammer.
