Hear my logic on this one.

I have a springfield TRP. Its a six oclock hold gun. I Simply cannot get use to this sight picture.

Ive tried measuring the rear sight to get another. I come up close to .375 but its hard to measure with the sight still in the gun. I can tell you based on my other 1911s with knock off novak sights this rear sight clearly looks taller. If I go with a shorter rear sight it should bring my POI to POA instead of 6 oclock hold.

So if I order a .325 rear sight from 10-8 it theoretically should bring my POI to POA, correct? Or am I chasing dreams and unicorns?

the rule of thumb I use for 1911 .45 pistols......  .010" of sight difference produces a change of impact of approximately 1" at 25yards.... so if your pistol is shooting high, hitting the center of a 25yd (5 1/2" bull) pistol target at 25yd with a 6:00 hold, you need to lower the point of impact approximately 2 3/4"... or .0275" of sight change... if the front sight is dovetailed, it would be cheaper to put in a taller front sight, which will lower the point of impact..., and then cut it to the exact height needed for your particular pistol and load,......a flat piece of hard plastic like formica glued to a mill file, allows you to place the plastic on the rear sigh, and get a parallel cut on the front, also providing a slight bevel to the front sight
