I just got new sights for my 75B in, and I have a question.

The front sight was easy to install, easiest i've ever done 2nd only to glock, the Dawson sight was pre-drilled so it took about 30 seconds.

I'm leery about the rear sight, I've read that its a real PITA to remove.

Is it really as bad as they say it is? I've got a small table vice, brass hammer/punches, and padded vice jaws.

Should I be able to do it or should I drop it off at the gunsmith? Really don't want to resort to that since he is slow as christmas and probably wouldn't get it back for a week.

Thanks

Nevermind, it was easy.

Didn't even use my vice, just used my computer desk and my mousepad as a shock absorber, drove the old one out and this one in

Guess I got lucky. Those aren't scratches on the rear, just light my from my potato flash

Does it drift out from left to right or vise versa like some pistols (TT-33 Tokarev, CZ52) ?

I drifted it out towards the ejection port and installed the new one in reverse, seemed to work fine

After about a year of using those sights I have found that I really do like them.  I had to make some mental adjustment as all that light around the post initially had be shooting much larger groups than normal.

Thanks, I had some dawson's with a .100 front on a Glock 34 that I had for awhile, so hopefully it will translate over
