I already posted this in the gunsmithing section but it doesnt look like that section is very active so Im posting it here. I called a local engraving place about having the slide on my Glock laser engraved and he told me that the tenifer finish was throughout the metal and the laser couldn't burn through it. he recommended that I take it to a place that does etching and that maybe they could do it, so I went to the only local place that does etching (which was also the place etching the glassware and other stuff for my wedding)and they told me that even if they could do it, that she wouldn't because it was a firearm. i subsequently canceled my $500 order with them and ordered my stuff online, I was wondering is there any place that I can send my slide to have this work done or am I out of luck until I learn to etch by hand. I don't need it to be very deep, just deep enough to use the white crayon method i saw in the pic thread. I ordered a zombie slide plate cover from lone wolf and I want to have "Its time to nut up or shut up!" engraved on the slide.

Good job at canceling the order from a gun hating hippy. Now on to business, Rockyourglock.com and Lone Wolf will do it. Also, rethink crayon. White wax, gunpowder, and dirt. Just think about that. Use model car paint or one shot. Congrats on the wedding.

Cheer,
Cray
