Gents: My Glock22 has two spots on the slide rail, aft of the ejection port, where the metal is gone....gun has around 2500 rounds through it, works great, but these two shine spots on the slide have me worried...any of y'all see this before?  v/r Walt K

It's called slide "peening". When the gun fires, as the slide travels to the rear the receiver flexes and when it does the locking block comes in contact with the bottom of the slide, thus the marks. You can eliminate the peening by changing the guide rod & adding a #20 spring. This can happen to all Glock models, but mostly in the older 40S&W(pre 2002). The peening will progress so far then stop. The photo shows what is about average. Very few get worse then this.
