Hello Everyone,
I will soon be the owner of a new XD45C and have questions I am hoping you can help with. A. I am looking for an extended slide release lever and extended magazine release for the gun, seeing as how the XDs are so frequently used in competition I figured there should be plenty of these, but can't find any? B. Holster and Magazines... I am trading in my Glock 30 for this XD45C and was using a Serpa holster for range carry with the Glock and loved it. So am wondering if I can use any XD holsters or if it has to be XD45 holsters, or more specifically XD45C holsters?? Also suggestions for a double magazine carrier for the XD45 magazines? | You should find all you need here Pistol Gear also you can use your XD holster and mag holder in competion. I dont know if the XD will fit your Glock sepra holster but I guess you can find out when you get your XD. |

Checking out that link right now, I forgot all about the fact that Springfield takes care of its buyers with a mag holder and holster! Thats what I get coming from Glock!
Does the included holster have any type of retention or just a holder? Also since this XD45C will also be used as a CCW, are there any parts I should replace for reliabilty, or is it fine as is? I see many mentions of the striker spring guide, etc? |
| The holster has a screw for retention. If it's brand new I wouldn't worry about it and if it is used and something goes wrong send it to SA, they will take care of you free of charge. I would advise you to not use the XD holster that comes with the the gun for CCW because the metal buttons on your pants will scratch the slide. You should hit up XDTALK.com as there is better info on what you would want to know. |
| Glock holsters will not fit an XD, sorry. Been there, done that. My daily carry is a XD45c... Springer Precision is your hook up for XD parts... He knows more about competion shooting with one than anyone else I have heard of....... phone number is 541-480-5546. My carry holster of choice is a Galco IWB Sky Ops treated with Galco EZDraw and refitted with inch and a half holster-beltclip. |
