I've a Colt series 80 slide atop my Para P14 (was all I could afford when I had the thing built)... how strong of a slide is this considered to be? And, can the trigger on a Walther P990 (9mm) be worked over i.e. to "speed" it up so to speak and to lighten the pull? Thanks ahead for thoughts/suggestions re these two issues. W |
| I have no issues with Series 80 slides, other than the concessions Colt afforded. The integrity of the unit is fine. They're a little more resistant to the press when 'squozing', but this can be a good thing. No Walther 99's have crossed my bench, so I don't feel qualified to advise. Most systems can be improved, however, but do to our litigious society, it behooves the pistolsmith to excercise caution. |
