I have a CW40. I only use factory mags. I'm having problems with slide not holding open on the last round fired, and when it does hold open the release is VERY sensitive and just moving the gun can cause the slide to release.
Any suggestions or ideas?? |

Any suggestions or ideas?? go to gunsprings.com and order a set of 5% extra strenght magazine springs for your kark and you will solve that issue, or call kahr and order another set of mag springs. Lube that slide lock pin up also where it goes into the barrel lug. My bet is just poor springs. my slide on my pm9 will occassionaly drop on its own if I bump it. I can do it every time on my G19 when I load a magazine, if I run the magazine in hard, it will release the slide. Not sure I would loose alot of sleep over it, FWIW IMO |

Not sure I would loose alot of sleep over it, FWIW IMO The only reason it bothered me is because the slide wouldn't stay locked open hardly at all. When I locked the slide open it would release as I went to sit the gun down every time. humm thats strange for that spring merely brings the slide lock lever DOWN, never up. The only thing that moves that lever up is the magazine follower. Sounds like you fixed it but humm. If it stll does it get a new spring for that area also from kahr and it takes a 6mm torx to get that little screw out. Just replace that spinrg, it can only go in one way and there really is no adjustment to it. I have 18,350 rounds through my PM9 and have never touched that little bugger either. |
