Should inserting the slide lock take a complete stroke of luck and an act of congress at the same exact time or am I doing something wrong? I finally got it in, but it took forever....it would go in almost all the way home, and then stop about the width of a CD from going all the way in....what gives? Oh yeah, in case you can't tell I am new to 1911's...and just got my High-Standard 1911 last Tuesday...and I already need to replace the Firing pin spring with a higher powered one to keep my firing pin from freezing inside the gun and having the stop slide on out of positon onto the ground. |
