Took my new 92A1 out today and put 7 mags through it and every mag failed to lock back after the last shot. If you pull it back with an empty mag it locks every time so I am assuming that the slide is not moving to the rear quite enough to catch the slide stop. Could it just need to be broken in more or could I have too strong a spring or too weak of ammo.

ETA it did it with and W/O the supressor attached.

check your grip; is your thumb (from either hand) blocking the lever?
is there freedom of movement with the lever; a little gunk or a slight burr may cause it to hang.
is the mag factory or aftermrket? i had a MecGar 12rd nickel mag that would do the same thing but worked just fine otherwise.

What type of ammo were you running? If the weapon was reliably feeding rounds I would be surprised if the slide wasn't traveling all the way to the rear.

Check your hold, its very easy to accidentally rest the thumb of your stong hand on the slide release with the 92.

I do this all the time. I would try loading one round and checking your grip to make sure your thumb is under the lever before doing anything else.
