Is that the plug that goes in the space in the grip? If so, yeah, I have them. They just plug up that little hole so debris and dust and stuff doesn't get up in the frame and slide. You can ven get brass ones that give more weight. To each his own I guess.

I have one of the plastic plugs.  I put it in, never think about it at all unless I happen to look at it or someone says something.

I just took some silicone and squirted it in the backstrap. Free, and does the same thing.

I used to get my mag caught in that space sometimes when reloading.  I got on of those plugs and it doesn't happen now.

I nevered cared for the "slug" plug because it sticks out, but I do like the flush fit type.

i have it on both my 23 and 27

bad thing about them is it doesnt work with the a&g grip/mag spacer that goes around your 23 mags to work with your 27 since that back part of the grip deal sits in the hole.

I use one in my G19 which is what I use for my main carry gun.  I think it's a great little invention, there are so many things that can get up in that hole and get into your action especially when you carry ITWB.

i don't have one.
Do you guys think it's worth the money you spend?

so..the true question lies here.  6 pack of refreshing ice cold beer OR the plug.  hmmm..

Downside is you lose your lanyard hole.  I hate to go swimming with a pistol that does not have a lanyard.

That's what a good holster with proper retention is for.

A ship is safe at port, but that is not what a ship is for.... (Hopper).  Sometime the pistol might have to come out and play.

Reference Bigbores G21 test - the plug is unecessary.  .www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=4&t=13658&page=1

I ordered the slanted slug plug and I think it is a very nice addition. Maybe if I practiced reloading more I would not need one, but it has improved my smoothness. Thanks for the comments.

Turn your Glock upside down, and look inside the grip where the plug would be inserted. With good lighting or a flashlight you can see the bottom of the slide. Now Just ONE of the reasons to plug this hole is to think about the possibility of getting assualted, taken to ground, rolloing around on the dirtwith the bad guy. The grip now acts like a sand scoop with the good chance of getting down to the inside of the slide. You have a chance to draw, and after the first shot you could have a problem. I feel a carry Glock must have the Plug.
Also consider that once dirt finds its way to the inside of the slide it could also then travel to the firing pin chanel.
Just did a search after typing this on "glock plug". Says the same thing that I just mentioned.
"""Description: The plug is designed to close the open cavity at the bottom of the grip, not allowing debris to enter and reach trigger assembly and firing pin. It also fits flush to eliminate snagging on open cavity. Used by LE & military worldwide. JP-1 fits Glock models 17,19,20,21,22,23,24,31,32,34 and 35. JP-2 fits models 26, 27 and 33. JP-3 fits models 29 and 30.""" www.aspitactical.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=2628

I am the only one in our dept. that uses the plug, but I have had dirt and debris get in the gun without the plug. As this is my duty weapon, I like the extra coverage.

I have a glock 26 and it says the JP-2 is what the baby glocks use.  I fail to see how this would stay in the gun after fireing it multiple times at a range.  Am I missing something here?

Also the JP-2 looks flat and hense would stick out more then stokc I would think.

Anyone have pictures of a baby glock with one in it?
