Does anyone know where to get a frame for a model 36?  I call Smith and they won't sell one.  I have all the other parts.  Looking to build another back up gun.  Need some advice here guys.

Unless you find one that's got a blown up barrel or something, I can't imagine you being able to find just the frame, IMO.

Numrich might but I wouldn't hold out much hope.  

You realize even if you do find one, you will need to do a lot of fitting of the parts?  Nothing drops in on a revolver.

The fitting that will be required will NOT be like snapping together an AR or an autoloader. You will need several hundred dollars worth of specialized tools.

spare parts + frame may or may not = working revolver.
