He also gives out a gift with every order so they’re not just drop shipping them. Rooftop Defense is a take on the Rooftop Koreans who went to war with and killed a bunch of gang members during the Rodney King riots. That will provide context when you see what the gift is. |

What’s really interesting is look how massive the G19 grip is front to back compared to the USP. Attached File Glock doesn’t use flush fitting magazines and doesn’t include them in their measurements either, which isn’t a very traditional approach. The USP with a jet funnel mag of 18+1 is pretty damn close to the same grip length as a G17 with a magazine. The Jet Funnel adds .65 inches. Here is a G17 adjusted for grip length with a USP to give you an idea. The USP is of course still a bit taller in the slide. Attached File People talk about not liking the grip angle of Glocks, but I think the bigger issue people have without realizing is how high the back strap is in relation to how low the trigger sits. It’s not natural to each downward for the trigger which is the real issue that I think takes lots of practice to bypass. |

View Quote Another interesting and also notable way to measure them is based off the web of your hand and the arch. I like my USPs all of the full-size ones have the Jetfunnel. Also the guts from the VP9 will increase the capacity from 15 to 17. It also works on the Jet Funnel mags, although it only ads one round from 18 to 19. The TaylorFreelance mag extensions fit like a silk glove and turn the 18s to 21’s. Would recommend. |

Would love to see someone do a batch from HK with the brown/tan slides on OD frames with the all black controls.
I think they would sell well. The OD frame USP and USP-T sold out in under 24 hours. Kinda kicking myself for not getting three. I’m going to find it hard to want to shot a consecutive set. Hmm. Or I need to get over it and go buy a left and right side matching set of holsters and dual carry a set of amazing combat pistols. |

Tombstone has the Tacticals in stock. They’re not RAL7008 but are “taupe”. Looks like a more traditional FDE, maybe even the tan color from the 2000’s run.

The lines on the VP9 make it look a lot more svelte but in reality it's the same size. |

Thanks to you all I have just ordered a pair of the ODG USP9 Tac’s listed on their site. 25 years ago I told my father I needed a gun for home defense and was going to buy one. He walked me to his safe and told me to choose any gun I wanted. He had Colt Snake guns, 1911’s, AR-15’s, Berettas, AK’s, Uzi, FN’s. Without hesitation I selected his USP40 Gen 1. I have run thousands of rounds through it and still love that gun. This will be my first HK pistol purchase since that day. Thank you for starting this thread or I never would have known. If Dad was still with me I would have given him one as a birthday present, which is tomorrow. I do love this place. Thanks

FYI, I purchased a couple of GB Item #105343754 these in ODG. There is one left in case anyone is interested. The seller one in black as well. They appear to have been available from the HK store for $35, but were discontinued last year. It took some searching to find any, let alone at a reasonable price of $49 for an HK taxed item.

Got my HKP comp in. I thought it was a little too anime but turns out I already love it. Haven’t shot it yet but the extra weight makes the gun not even budge dropping the slide. Always wanted a race combat hybrid so the USP will be it I guess.
Attached File Next up list. -Install match trigger, GG short reset kit, and GG flat trigger. -Surefire X300 with Emissary switches to get them back to the top of the trigger guard. -Going dovetail RMR mount with a Coyote RMR. -HK45 safety and SAO detent plate when I can find one. -Coating the slide, comp, and Jet Funnel. Considering smoked bronze, same color as my P226. Should be good contrast with the RAL frame. Also considering midnight bronze. Attached File |

Will probably suck it up and get it milled some day but for now I just want to get it done so I can run it for a bit. I didnt know milling the 9mm USP’s was such a chore and I’ve already had enough tests of my patience on this build. |

I would go to the range every weekend (or damn near) and run 300-400 rounds of whatever I could afford to shoot. I’d mix everything up and mix fmj and jhp and snap caps and that gun never once failed to feed, extract, or go bang. Not once. Thousands of rounds. The double action pull was so smooth I was actually better at shooting it than the single action. I had to sell it to pay medical and child support. I’ve been wanting a P30L to replace it. That or a USP, haven’t decided. Someday… |
