So... I recently bought my dads Yost Custom 9mm Hi Power. It is awesome... but, sometimes my father makes me laugh as he has a top notch pistol with crappy mags...

I need to pick up some quality 15-17 round mags... I have read up on all of the different mags out there but am having an issue sourcing decent mags...

Any help?

Thanks.

Mec-Gar's are the best aftermarket labeled mags.

They in fact have made the OEM part for decades.
Only difference is there is no mousetrap ejection spring on the Mec Gar.

Ajax Grips & CDNN sell them also.

Thanks for that, I never think about them for mags.

Thier stock on the 13rd blued mags just went down by 4.

MecGar 15s have run flawlessly for me also. Try some of each.

And the finish.  The commercial MecGars are blued; the ones they make for OEM are phosphated.

Not to hi-jack but............

Funny you bring that up.
I just picked up another MKIII this week and I need to put new grips on it.

I have a set of the VZ's on my other one and like them (width is perfect) but I'm also considering a set of the Navridex thin grips (at half the price of the VZ's).

Do you by chance have a side by side shot of the two comparing the profile and width?
If not, could you throw a set of calipers on each at the widest part of the grip?

For the time being I put a set of Uncle Mikes on it but since I added the VZ's to the first gun I've come to hate the palmswell on the mikes.

Thanks!

Good point.

Actually the MecGars are blued or nickel.

You are right!    I always forget about the nickel mags...
