For those of you who use them; please provide me with your opinions of Speed Sights.
I've never heard of them until this morning; my two BILs are going to purchase them, but I'm still unsure. Thoughts? |

I've shot a friend's XD with them installed. They were kind of meh..sight picture was different enough that would take awhile to get used to. I'm sure they'd be okay but I don't see any real advantage to them.
Honestly for that price I would go with the Trijicon HDs or if its for a Sig the Sig X Ray sights. Trijicon HDs Sig X rays |

Wow...complete and utter nonsense BS from that company. Want fast sights? Get .105 fronts with a wide .125 or .135 rear with a DEEP notch. Like Dawson precisions or TTI sights. That company is just marketing a gimmick to folks who don't shoot often. Happy to help. Like thevibe mentioned, skinny front(with fiberoptic optional) with a wide rear works pretty well. I'd also recommend Dawson Precision. But the single most advantageous feature on a set of handgun sights to me is a highly contrasting front sight. |

I have them and love them. Did a review here somewhere...maybe in Glock fourm. They are on my EDC G19.
Some of the claims are bullshit yes, but the sight is fantastic and allows for much better pinpoint accuracy in my opinion. Mostly because of the shape of the front sight...not so much because of the diamond itself. The front sight has a nice point shape to it and allows a larger amount of the target to be visible and the tip of the sight can be used for shots at longer ranges....but there is nothing faster about any of it. The diamond shape doesnt matter at all in my opinion. Diamonds, dots, or squares don't seem to matter as much to me. It's more about the shape of the sight that I feel like they are an excellent sight with horrible marketing. I can't get my imageshack to load my pics or I would post a pic or two. |
