My friend's GI model, very capable, but a minimalist gun. It has a match bushing, crowned barrel, reliability tune and trigger job, all MIM parts replaced, Yo-Bo retro rear, Novak front, slide top shortened and countersunk, re-profiled grip safety, Wolff springs throughout, beveled magwell, Greider trigger, carry bevel, pocket cut lanyard attachment, and reblue.

That suits my taste in 1911s more and more these days. Nice piece

| Thanks guys. My co-worker got interested in a minimalist build after we stopped into Yost's shop. Mr. Yost and Jason Burton put the fire in him. Unfortunately, his wallet was a little thin, so I did this one for him mostly with spare parts I had. Cost of his build was $0.00. I was a little envious afterwards though. I didn't want to give it back. I've built so many full house guns over the last year, I was surprised how much I anjoyed this pistol. |

| The grips are Simonich Gunner grips. Strider also makes the Gunners, but they are shaped slightly different, and are thicker. The Simonich Gunners have a more original shape, and the Striders are thicker in order to have enough room for the ambi cut. These are black with tan paint on them. |
Armor coat=Gun Kote....lol... a guy from my last dept. went to the custom shop, and they have it on the shevles in the shop... It really is great stuff!! |
Well I just received my pistols and knife back from being duracoated. Springfield Loaded, Sig p226 and emerson knife. My AR, AK and another .45 will be delivered back to me next week.

Mil-Spec re-crowned, action job, tuned trigger, new sear done by Miller Custom. He will be fitting a Kart Barrel soon enough and probably cutting the slide for new sights. Other add ons are a YoBo rear, Ed Brown Hammer, Medium length trigger, VZ Operator grips. So far I love it. It will not be my only 1911...I can guarantee that!
