Can anyone give the year of manufacture from the serial number, NM 4086x? Don't know enough about SA pistols to know if this is a pistol from the current SA company or an older SA pistol. A friend got the pistol as part of a collection and is trying to figure out what it is. Seems to have been built or remade into a target pistol of some sort. Blued, SA crossed cannon mark on rear left slide, with serial number underneath on frame. Barrel in ejection port marked Clark .45 Auto. Bomar target sights. Widened and beveled mag well. Stippled on front and rear of grip and front of trigger guard. Target trigger. Round hammer. IIRC, it would be called compensated and ported. Larger than normal slide and mag release buttons. Not a brand new pistol, looks 20-30 or more years old. |
